CARBOTHANE AC-4075A is a medical grade polycarbonate-based aromatic Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) developed for applications requiring excellent oxidative stability and superior mechanical performance. CARBOTHANE AC-4075A exhibits a Shore Hardness of 77A and has an ultimate tensile strength of 8000 psi making it suitable for applications involving dynamic mechanical loading. Its high tensile modulus of 4400 psi at 300% elongation also provides dimensional stability under stress. CARBOTHANE AC-4075A's glass transition temperature of -15°C and Vicat softening point of 91°C makes it durable over a wide range of temperatures common for Advanced Materials processing and end-use environments. CARBOTHANE AC-4075A's low mold shrinkage of 0.011 in/in also reduces warping and part distortion critical for precision manufacturing in Advanced Materials industry. Due to their good oxidative and biocompatible properties CARBOTHANE grades are suitable for long-term implants.
