ISOAMYLENE

ISOAMYLENE is an important chemical intermediate with a number of applications in the pharmaceutical industry. It has a boiling point of 38°C. ISOAMYLENE allows for precise control during critical processing steps. Its low viscosity of 0.27 mPas at 20°C also eases handling. As an intermediate, ISOAMYLENE benefits the pharmaceutical industry by enabling efficient synthesis of active ingredients. ISOAMYLENE contains two methylbutene isomers in a ~85/15 molar ratio: 2-Methyl 2-Butene and 2-Methyl 1-Butene.
